From the very start of planning, Klagenfurt Sports Park has been oriented towards realising an ecologically and economically sensible, social and sustainable project. Our commitment particularly to ecology and sustainability in and of the Sports Park shows that we take the social responsibility that such a big and significant sports arena entails seriously. For this reason, already during construction we introduced an environmental management system in the entire Sports Park and integrated a solar system for hot water generation as well as a heat recovery system for turf heating in the technical system of the complex.
Our
ecological principles are particularly carried out by our team members and stakeholders who are fully involved in this process. They are demanded to solve the ecological challenges in an economical way. Through individual measures in different fields (e.g. keeping the energy consumption low, waste management) we are able to achieve daily measurable savings potentials.
With the
validation and honouring by EMAS last year, this route was confirmed and rewarded very quickly.
