It is our pleasure to present to you our modern sports centre in Klagenfurt. I am sure that this architecturally striking and impressive structure, which has also become established as a symbol of the city of Klagenfurt, has somehow attracted your attention. A stadium between a city, mountains and a lake – there’s hardly any location that is more beautiful for a stadium.
From the very start of planning, it has been our vision to provide people interested in sports with a new stadium, and young people who are keen on sports with a modern
education and training centre in the form of
training fields,
a ball games competence centre (with the largest sports hall in Carinthia and one of the largest in Austria) and a
football academy.
The manifold
events that take place in the stadium and in the popular VIP lounge, as well as the letting of office and business spaces considerably contribute to the economic success of the project. The successful organisation of the third largest sports event, UEFA EURO 2008TM, and the concert by Herbert Grönemeyer last year, as well as the hundred per cent utilisation of our office spaces are only a few examples of this success.
An essential element at Klagenfurt Sports Park is the
EMAS validation and environmental award that we were proud to accept last year for the ecological measures we have taken.
As you can see, apart from a background of sports, also cultural, economic and ecological aspects are of high importance at Klagenfurt Sports Park.
