Klagenfurt is a city of sports. At the Ironman Austria competition here in Klagenfurt, 2,000 athletes fight for their ticket to the Ironman Hawaii as well as for their personal best every year. Here is also a unique beach atmosphere at the Beach Volleyball Grand Slam which attracts 100,000 spectators every year.
The city lives with sports and carries out a project which is unique in Austria: the sports trial project. In the course of this project, children and youngsters up to 15 years of age get to discover different kinds of sports at local sports clubs – under professional guidance and free of charge.
Our two short videos show some impressions of Klagenfurt, the city of sports, and the excitement of the construction of the new stadium and the sports park.
