The ball games competence centre is a pilot project of the Federal Government, aimed at supporting talented young sportspeople. Three halls, one warming-up hall, additional facilities and stands for approximately 800 spectators will be part of the ball games competence centre.
Western building
The western building houses rooms for e.g. the press, VIP area, stadium administration, medical care services, stadium security and building services.
Stadium
The Hypo Group Arena was inaugurated in September 2007 and is the gem of Klagenfurt Sports Park. Many people even speak of it as a new symbol of Klagenfurt.
The stadium, which complies with all UEFA and FIFA guidelines, is a compact structure which is integrated in the landscape. The complex is architecturally striking because of the dynamic elevation of the roof above the eastern stand. Eye-catchers are the ramp that slightly ascends from the west in the direction of the stadium and the access stairs at the corners of the platform. The stands are as close to the pitch as possible and make every match a special live experience.
